India Shining-Really?

Well, we keep talking of India Shining but looking at our preparation for the forthcoming Common wealth games and the mess created by Lalit Modi can we still proudly say "INDIA SHINING"?

  1. Actually Common Wealth Games and Mr. Modi's Case are putting the spotlight on India’s scuffles which are widely spread that is corruption and poor infrastructure...

  3. If any one want to really analyze if India is shining or not, he should actually visit the rural villages and meet the children there. Many of them don't even know how to hold a pencil forget about reading and writing........

And again the question is. Does India really need mega sports events like Commonwealth Games? Why we allow our corrupt politicians to waste money like thousands of crores on such events in which people hardly have interest? Will Commonwealth Games help Indian sports and sports persons in the long run? Then why we are wasting money. We can use this money in improving the living standard of millions of poor in India

  4. To a great extent I agree with Mohan. At the same time efforts like make Delhi green (initiated by NDTV 24X7)to give a facelift to the city involving the college and school children is commendable. I wish such initiatives become a part of the Indian Culture ("Shramdaan"--- as we call it in Hindi).
Can even begin with a small initiative of donating old belongingings (as done by GOONJ of which Core Business School is the representative for Indore and adjoining areas).
Such small steps will actually help India Shine

  5. Hmmmmm:(
India shining is limited (Govt. Co.), let it be into the hands of Pvt. Ltd. Then only we can say
"Saree Jahan See Accha, Hindustan Hamara".
Say TaTa By By to "BabU Doom".

Aur jab log aapke bare main bolne lage toh samjh jao aap taraki kar rahe ho..
